Bureau Veritas Metals and Minerals to Present at Sampling and Blending Conference in Perth

PERTH - (April 26th, 2017) - Bureau Veritas’ Technical Governance Director for Metals & Minerals Trade, Aldwin Vogel, will present a Review of the Commercial Sampling of Trade Bulk Commodities on May 9th during the 8th World Conference on Sampling & Blending (WCSB8) at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth, Western Australia.

The presentation will focus on the risks, costs and accuracy of sampling performed in mines, stockyards, ports and terminals when commercial valuation is required. It will also consider the sampling of commodities at trading locations and when ownership of commodities change hands.

Senior managers from the Bureau Veritas Minerals team will also be available to discuss a broad range of solutions and services available to the mining community including:  Analytical Chemistry, Metallurgical & Mineralogical Services, Technology and Innovation: Laser Ablation, MineDSi, XRF, Ore & High Grade Analysis,  QAQC and 

WCSB8 is being jointly organised by the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (The AusIMM) and CSIRO, and aims to bring together geologists, engineers, metallurgists, grade controllers, samplers, chemists, consultants and managers involved in all aspects of sampling and blending in the mineral, pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, biomass and recycling industries, including environmental monitoring.

The conference will provide great opportunities for networking, meeting respected international sampling experts, sharing ideas and catching up on the latest developments in sampling, sample preparation and blending of a wide range of different commodities.
