Bureau Veritas to present at World Gas Conference 2018

We are honored to present at the 27th World Gas Conference happening on25-29 June in Washington DC, USA.

 

WGC is a “must attend” event for everybody involved in the Maritime industry since the recent boost in LNG exports from USA and the use of LNG as a maritime fuel. As the world largest global gas conference, WGC is focused on the importance of the natural gas and the entire gas value chain.  
The event is expected to attract more than 600 speakers, 12,000 Attendees from more than 100 countries around the globe.

FLOATING LNG CONCEPTS: FACTS AND DIFFERENTIATORS - Wednesday 4:15 PM - June 27 

Carlos Guerrero, Bureau Veritas Global Market Leader of Tankers & Gas Carriers will present the report developed within the IGU LNG committee on behalf of the study group 1. This presentation will address the market segment of the Floating LNG concepts including LNG FSRU and LNG FPSO, and their opportunities and Challenges Bureau Veritas, as an expert in the field of floating LNG has participated actively in the study group 1, providing technical and commercial valuable inputs including the regulatory framework.

SMALL SCALE LNG: TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS AND CASE STUDIES - Thursday 1:10 PM   - June 28 

Small scale LNG carriers with ability to perform LNG bunker operations represent nowadays a clear new trend in LNG shipping. Carlos Guerrero, Bureau Veritas Global Market Leader of Tankers & Gas Carriers will address some interesting case studies and relevant specific challenges encountered in the frame of the assessment of small scale LNG carriers specially designed for delivering LNG as a bunker fuel.

FLOATING LNG CONCEPTS: TECHNICAL CHALLENGES - 1:10 PM Friday - June 29 

Philippe Cambos, Bureau Veritas Oil & Gas Director & Senior Technical Advisor will present Bureau Veritas’ recently issued rules which enable the classification of all types of floating storage and regasification assets. These new rules set out technical requirements to address the technical and operational issues of FSRUs.
