Apr. 26 2016

Bureau Veritas will be the main sponsors at the 37th International Bunker Conference (IBC) at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark on April 27-29, 2016.

Senior managers from the VeriFuel team will be available to discuss our latest innovations and leading testing and inspection services that are catered to the needs of vessel owners, operators and charterers.

VeriFuel is Bureau Veritas' comprehensive Fuel Management Program designed for the marine industry. Backed by the Inspectorate network of laboratories at strategic locations worldwide and combining the skills and know-how of both organizations, VeriFuel provides residual and distillate marine fuel quality assessment, advisory reports and expert opinion to improve your fuel management.

The VeriFuel team will demonstrate the features and benefits of the VeriFuel Portal. To prepare our customers for the future, Bureau Veritas has designed a new web based portal. The design uses the latest information technology, enabling our customers to make informed decisions more quickly. Using the portal, our customers can follow live trending global fuel alerts, track the status of a sample's shipment and access their results.

“The VeriFuel Program is setting the trend for the future,” said Ewoud Kamminga, Global Head of VeriFuel, Bureau Veritas. “We were recently first in the industry to establish new conclusive proprietary test methods for an on-going corrosive fuel issue in East Russia and we look forward to demonstrating that type of expertise at the IBC Conference.”

Today, Bureau Veritas is the leader in Bunker Quantity Survey (BQS) services and operates the most extensive BQS network around the globe. All surveyors are in-house and operated under a certified quality system. During the survey the roles and responsibilities are clearly defined to make sure that the surveyor works closely with the Chief Engineer onboard the vessel. Our expertise and integrity will greatly assist to obtain the right quantity of fuel and to avoid shortages and claims.
