Bureau Veritas receives Sustainable Business and Finance Award by l’Agefi

Dec. 1 2022

L’Agefi, a French media specializing in sustainable finance, presented its first-ever Sustainable Business and Finance Awards this year. These awards aim to reward SBF 120 companies who have taken the most virtuous business approach in terms of environmental, social and governance issues. Awarded by a jury of professionals, they are based on the methodologies of Ethics & Boards for governance, and Ecovadis for social and environmental criteria.

In the Social category, Bureau Veritas came out on top.

This award covers the social impacts of companies (health and safety of employees, working conditions, social dialogue, career management and training), risks to human rights (child labor, forced labor and human trafficking, diversity, discrimination and harassment, human rights and external stakeholders), and the management of social and human rights risks in the supply chain.

EcoVadis evaluated the performance of the candidate companies' management system on the subjects covered, through their policies (objectives, adherence to external initiatives), their actions (measures implemented, certifications, labels, reports audit), and their results (quality of reporting, opinion of stakeholders).

With more than 82,000 employees working in 140 different countries, at Bureau Veritas, our workforce is our most valuable asset. The health, safety, well-being and development of our people are priorities. In this framework, we strive to Shape a Better Workplace.
