Alpha Supporting Services S.A., achieves the first certification for Data Protection processes to demonstrate compliance with GDPR

Athens, 14th Sept 2018, Bureau Veritas Hellas A.E. announces the first certificate to be issued for the groundbreaking Bureau Veritas Data Protection Certification Scheme certificate for global operations of Alpha Supporting Services, Company of Alpha Bank Group based out of Athens, Greece to demonstrate its corporate digital responsibility and build upon its existing ISO 27001 Information Security, ISO 20000 IT Service Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management systems certifications.

Demonstrate compliance

Alpha Supporting Services is both a data controller and a data processor under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679), with responsibility for the sensitive personal data of tens of thousands of EU citizens. Bureau Veritas’ Data Protection Certification scheme enables companies to demonstrate they have implemented the processes and procedures required to comply with GDPR.
