Bureau Veritas acquires Capital Energy and strengthens its energy efficiency business

Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, January 16, 2019 – Bureau Veritas has finalized the acquisition of Capital Energy SAS, a French white certificates management company.

Capital Energy provides consulting and support services for white certificate projects in France. Its customer base comprises energy suppliers and large retailers. Capital Energy also helps housing organisations, local authorities, industry and building contractors to implement energy efficiency programs.

Capital Energy, founded in 2010 in Paris, also has offices in Nantes. With a workforce of 36 people, the company recorded an annual revenue of c. 23 million euros in 2017.

This acquisition enables Bureau Veritas to expand its range of energy efficiency services for the building and industrial asset sector. White certificates belong to a rapidly expanding market segment fuelled by voluntary energy efficiency initiatives. Capital Energy is one of the leading players in the French market.
