Bureau Veritas’ Agustin Gayubo-Gil, panellist at the EuroCham Myanmar – EU Economic Forum 2017

Myanmar - (June 9, 2017) Agustin Gayubo-Gil was a panellist at the EuroCham Myanmar EU Economic Forum 2017. Agustin is the Industry and Construction Services Manager for Bureau Veritas Myanmar and was part of the ‘Construction: In transition to better standards’ panel.
Agustin and the panel discussed Quality & Safety at construction sites in Myanmar and how government intervention is required in its enforcement. They also discussed the potential benefits of real implementation of Quality and Safety standards as well as recommendations to improve on the current regulation.
EuroCham Myanmar, together with leading European companies involved in the construction sector in Myanmar, teamed up to create the Construction & Infrastructure Advocacy Group in September 2016. This group represents the different actors involved in the construction of public buildings, commercial buildings, industrial facilities and infrastructure projects in general. The ambition of this group is to provide support and objective recommendations to the Myanmar government in its effort to build the nation in a sustainable, affordable, and qualitative fashion.
