Global Oil Condition Monitoring Director will be a Keynote Speaker at Lubmat 2018 in San Sebastian, Spain

SAN SEBASTIAN SPAIN (MAY 15, 2018) -  Bureau Veritas’ Global Oil Condition Monitoring Director, Sam Fisher, will be a keynote speaker at the Lubricants, Tribology and Condition Monitoring Conference and Exhibition held on June 5-6, 2018 at Miramar Palace in San Sebastian, Spain.

Senior managers from our global Oil Condition Monitoring (OCM) network will be available to discuss our latest innovations and testing capabilities designed to help improve equipment reliability.

Sam will be joined by Salma Houmymid from Microsoft and will present on the topic of,‘Artificial Intelligence Transforms Oil Analysis: A Case Study of Predictive Analytics’ in Room 1 at 9:00am on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.  The presentation will discuss how Bureau Veritas is leveraging both a vast wealth of historical data and cutting edge A.I. technology, powered by Microsoft’s Cortana tool.  

In 2017, Bureau Veritas partnered with Microsoft to leverage machine learning in the area of predictive commentary and recommendations and Sam and Salma will discuss the basic design decisions and the various resulting benefits, such as improved repeatability and improved data insights for the customer.

Sam Fisher earned his Bachelor of Science from Bath University UK, and has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Sam has over 15 years of commercial laboratory management experience and during that time has consistently focused on utilizing digital solutions to improve customer experience and streamline operations.

Bureau Veritas has a global network of 17 Oil Condition Monitoring laboratories, supporting client by identifying trends in wear and contamination and pinpoint changes in the physical properties of lubricants, fuels and coolants to improve equipment reliability.
