We are pleased to announce that our 5 x Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facilities (BQTFs) in ChinaGermanyTaiwan and USA are ready to provide Bluetooth qualification services according to the newly released Bluetooth 5 core specification. The Bluetooth 5 specification promises 2x speed, 4x range, 8x data plus enhanced wireless coexistence. 7layers, a Bureau Veritas Group Company, has also released a test case package for its Interlab Bluetooth RF Test Solution to support Bluetooth 5 Qualification Testing. This will enable Bluetooth Qualification Test Facilities (BQTFs), utilizing the Interlab Bluetooth RF Test Solution to offer Bluetooth 5 qualification testing right from the outset. 

Sponsored by US Department of Transportation (USDOT), Bureau Veritas' 7layers co-organized the 4-day "Connected Vehicle Technology PlugFest" event with Danlaw and SwRI in USA during mid-November. The Plugfest event centered around conformance of devices utilizing the 5.9 GHz Dedicated Short Range Communication technology. As an USDOT Certification Operating Council (COC), 7layers presented an overview of the Test Control Interface and Preview of its Certification Testing tools to the participating vendors whom were also provided a test opportunity on device-to-device testing and device testing against test specifications set forth by the USDOT COC.
