ISO 22163:2023 is the quality management system dedicated to railway suppliers. Formerly known as IRIS Certification® (International Railway Industry Standard) it is based on ISO 9001, the international quality standard. It applies to suppliers of rolling stock, signaling and rail components and equipment. Certification to ISO 22163:2023 is required by many major rail OEMs. Other railway standards include CENELEC, CEI and ISA.
